Apologetics Class #4 – God is the Cause of the Universe (audio)

During week 4 of the Apologetics class at PVCC, we discuss the Kalam Cosmological Argument. The argument basically goes like this:

1. Everything that begins to exist has a cause.
2. The universe began to exist.
3. Therefore, the universe has a cause.

From here, we look at would could be the cause of all space, time, matter, and energy. This cause must be be uncaused, beginningless, spaceless, timeless, immaterial, and enormously powerful. If you compare this with the Christian understanding of God, these adjectives are exact.
